The Danish Representative Office in Ramallah (DRO) will prepare a\n new Danish development programme in Palestine for 2027-2031. The West Bank including\n East Jerusalem faces ongoing social and economic challenges, including restricted\n movement and limited access to services. Development opportunities are influenced\n by complex political and security dynamics. The Palestinians in Gaza, are facing enormous\n humanitarian needs, while Gaza itself has seen unprecedent destruction of infrastructure\n and livelihoods over the course of the last two years. However, the future setup on\n both civil governance and security is currently not clear. These contexts shape the\n environment for Danish cooperation efforts.
The consultants’ analyses will provide\n essential insights to inform strategic interventions for 2027–2031. The context analysis\n is required to be comprehensive, focused, and directly aligned with three priority\n areas that DRO is planning to continue to provide support to: (i) human rights and\n protection; (ii) economic growth and private sector development; and (iii) public\n services. To secure this, and to have a thorough understanding of the three priority\n areas, the overall context analysis will be supplemented and interlinked with three\n studies – one for each priority area.
