2 Procedure

Titel: M5 Transportation Systems Market Dialogue
\n
Beskrivelse: M5 is a new metro line that will connect the new city development areas to the east\n of Copenhagen, including Lynetteholm, Refshaleøen and Kløverparken, with the existing\n city and transport network. M5 will include a new Control and Maintenance Centre (CMC).\n The M5 alignment shall be underground from CMC via Lergravsparken to the end shaft\n at Vester Søgade, and from Lergravsparken to v/Prags Boulevards Øst. The alignment\n shall transition from underground to elevated via ramp just north of v/Prags Boulevards\n Øst and be elevated from the ramp to v/Refshaleøen. Metroselskabet expects to build\n the stretch from Copenhagen Central Station to Prags Boulevard to open in 2035. Using the UNSDGs as a basis, four main project objectives have been defined\n with the objective to minimize negative impact and maximising the positive impact\n of the project. • Reduce the use of resources and climate impact Metroselskabet has\n an ambition to reduce the carbon footprint from future metro lines with 50% compared\n to the existing metro. • Improve passenger experience and operational robustness The\n Copenhagen metro run with a low amount of carbon pr. Passenger kilometer, mainly because\n it is electrically powered, and many people prefer to use the metro when using public\n transportation. Operational robustness and reliable service is therefore an essential\n aspect of sustainability. • Improve safety and working environment Everyone should\n be able to work without accidents or injuries, both in construction and operations\n of the new metro line. • A contribution to the city A new metro line should physically\n meet and connect with the city in a way that creates urban space quality and leave\n space for increased urban biodiversity. M5 will include a new Control and Maintenance Centre (CMC). The M5 alignment shall be underground from CMC via Lergravsparken to the end shaft at Vester Søgade, and from Lergravsparken to v/Prags Boulevards Øst. The alignment shall transition from underground to elevated via ramp just north of v/Prags Boulevards Øst and be elevated from the ramp to v/Refshaleøen. Metroselskabet expects to build the stretch from Copenhagen Central Station to Prags Boulevard to open in 2035. \nThe part from v/Ref to Kk is planned to open in 2045 and is not part of the upcoming tender for a contractor. \nHowever, the Transportation systems will be designed so that they can cover – or be expanded to cover – from København H to Østerport and possible also the full ring and other scenarios that are safeguarded for. Additionally, the branch to the CMC is underground with a Bifurcation located near Jenagade or in connection to the station Lergravsparken, the alignment has a ramp to surface on Prøvestenen. \nThe alignment is currently being developed by a civil works consultant (a joint venture consisting of COWI and ARUP) to make it possible to extend the line/close the ring from Østerport (Kk) and København H (Kh). Also, a joint venture consisting of Rambøll and Systra Denmark has joined the project as Transportation Systems consultants. \nWith the new M5 line, Metroselskabet will be focusing on improving other aspects of future metro lines.
