considering the scope and content\n of the assignment, cf. the
Appendix 2A: Technical Specifications 63kA, doc. no.\n 24/10093-16
and Appendix 2A: Technical Specifications 80kA, doc. no.
24/10093-26.\n
In this context, the elements listed below – and the fulfilment or
lack\n thereof – are of particular importance:
• General design - the overall technical\n solution for the shunt
reactor design, including dimensions and accessibility.
•\n Corrosion protection (cf. 5.5 Paint and surface treatment),
including whether\n the protection level is higher or lower
than C5vh and how all parts are treated.
•\n Core type
• Weight and Size, taking into consideration how this will
affect\n the requirements for the foundations and stations
• Tap changer (if applicable)\n and variation range (cf. 8. Tap
Changer)
• Oil type (physical characteristics\n such as sulphur)
• Bushings (cf. 7. High-voltage connections and Bushings)
•\n FAT- and SAT-procedure (cf. 6.5 Factory Acceptance Tests
and Site Acceptance\n tests)
The characteristics stated in the Appendix 2A: Technical
Specifications\n 63kA, doc. no. 24/10093-16 and Appendix 2A:
Technical Specifications 80kA, doc.\n no. 24/10093-26 are
considered as an acceptable level of fulfilment.

The evaluation of guaranteed sound\n level (cf. section 11. Sound Level in Appendix 2A: Technical
Specifications 63kA,\n doc. no. 24/10093-16 and Appendix 2A: Technical Specifications 80kA, doc.
no.\n 24/10093-26is performed in 3 steps:
Step 1):
a. If the guaranteed sound power\n level is higher than the maximum value accepted the solution
will be rejected\n as the minimum technical requirement is not fulfilled.
b. If the guaranteed sound\n power level is equal to or lower than the maximum value accepted,
the sound level\n is within an acceptable range - the score is preliminary set to a value of 5
(five),\n and the evaluation continues to step 2.
Step 2):
a. If NO external sound damping\n method is used to obtain the guaranteed value, the evaluation
continues to step\n 3.
b. If ANY external sound damping method is used to obtain the guaranteed value,\n the
preliminary grade is reduced depending on the extent of the applied sound\n damping
method:
i. If Sound Panels (e.g., sandwich panels) are used, 3 (three)\n points will be deducted.
ii. If Sound Screen is used, 3 (three) points will be\n deducted.
iii. If Sound Housing is used, 5 (five) points will be deducted.
(See\n note *) below for further description and definition of sound damping methods.) After\n the
preliminary grade is reduced, the evaluation continues to step 3.
Step\n 3):
a. If sound power level is EQUAL TO the maximum value accepted by the Contracting\n Authority,
the obtained preliminary score is the result of the evaluation.
b.\n If sound power level is LOWER than the maximum value accepted by the Contracting
Authority,\n the final score is obtained by adding 1 (one) point to the preliminary score for
every\n dB the guaranteed sound power level is lower than the required maximum value. The\n
final score cannot exceed the value 10 (ten), so no extra credit will be given\n for sound levels
more than 10 dB lower than the maximum value.

i. Sound Panels are panels attached\n directly to the tank wall, only partly covering one or more
sides of the tank\n (e.g., sandwich panels).
ii. Sound Screen is attached to the tank usually covering\n one or more complete sides. Typically,
a screen is also installed with some centimetre\n distance between tank and screen, so valves,
jacking points etc. must be accessed\n through hatches in the sound screen.
iii. Sound Housing is an enclosure which\n surrounds the main tank, and it includes a roof. A

The tendered assignment must be performed on the basis\n of the
attached contract terms.
The tenderer is allowed to propose explicit\n and well-explained
deviations to the listed competitive elements and the evaluation\n of
“contract terms” will be based on the deviations. It should be noted
that\n any deviation might impact the score as this is dependent on the
content, clarity\n and consequence of the deviation.

In this context, the elements listed below – and the fulfilment or
lack\n thereof – are of particular importance:
• General design - the overall technical\n solution for the shunt
reactor design, including dimensions and accessibility.
•\n Corrosion protection (cf. 5.5 Paint and surface treatment),
including whether\n the protection level is higher or lower
than C5vh and how all parts are treated.
•\n Core type
• Weight and Size, taking into consideration how this will
affect\n the requirements for the foundations and stations
• Tap changer (if applicable)\n and variation range (cf. 8. Tap
Changer)
• Oil type (physical characteristics\n such as sulphur)
• Bushings (cf. 7. High-voltage connections and Bushings)
•\n FAT- and SAT-procedure (cf. 6.5 Factory Acceptance Tests

Step 1):
a. If the guaranteed sound power\n level is higher than the maximum value accepted the solution
will be rejected\n as the minimum technical requirement is not fulfilled.
b. If the guaranteed sound\n power level is equal to or lower than the maximum value accepted,
the sound level\n is within an acceptable range - the score is preliminary set to a value of 5
(five),\n and the evaluation continues to step 2.
Step 2):
a. If NO external sound damping\n method is used to obtain the guaranteed value, the evaluation
continues to step\n 3.
b. If ANY external sound damping method is used to obtain the guaranteed value,\n the
preliminary grade is reduced depending on the extent of the applied sound\n damping
method:
i. If Sound Panels (e.g., sandwich panels) are used, 3 (three)\n points will be deducted.
ii. If Sound Screen is used, 3 (three) points will be\n deducted.
iii. If Sound Housing is used, 5 (five) points will be deducted.

preliminary grade is reduced, the evaluation continues to step 3.
Step\n 3):
a. If sound power level is EQUAL TO the maximum value accepted by the Contracting\n Authority,
the obtained preliminary score is the result of the evaluation.
b.\n If sound power level is LOWER than the maximum value accepted by the Contracting
Authority,\n the final score is obtained by adding 1 (one) point to the preliminary score for
every\n dB the guaranteed sound power level is lower than the required maximum value. The\n
final score cannot exceed the value 10 (ten), so no extra credit will be given\n for sound levels
more than 10 dB lower than the maximum value.

i. Sound Panels are panels attached\n directly to the tank wall, only partly covering one or more
sides of the tank\n (e.g., sandwich panels).
ii. Sound Screen is attached to the tank usually covering\n one or more complete sides. Typically,

jacking points etc. must be accessed\n through hatches in the sound screen.
iii. Sound Housing is an enclosure which\n surrounds the main tank, and it includes a roof. A
