Revision of the Danish Business Authority's LRAIC Model in 2025
The Danish Business Authority is requesting an offer for a time & material contract with the purpose of revising DBA’s current LRAIC-model.
DBA’s LRAIC-model is a generic model that can model specific operators by populating with generic and operator specific inputs. It thus far been applied to model three operators (TDC, Norlys and Fibia).
In time for the coming regulatory period the DBA is looking to update several parameters of the existing model, among these are:
- Unit cost and price trends
- Coverage
- Demand
- Central Office locations
- Network Traffic
The DBA is also looking to optimize the geographical modelling of the model with the aim of reducing execution time. The geographical modelling is conducted in R. The DBA is also looking to update the R-model with the latest R-software version.
Lastly, the DBA is considering the need for assistance with an industry consultation for the updated Excel LRAIC model that today can model XGS-PON (the add-on model was built by AXON Partners Group in 2021).
Importantly, it should be noted that the DBA is not looking to develop a new model but to update and possibly modify DBA’s current model. Documentation for DBA’s current model can be found in annex 2 -4.
