Statens Serum Institut (SSI) is an institute under the Danish Ministry of Health. The purpose of the institute is to prevent and combat infectious diseases as well as biological threats and congenital disorders. In April 2020, TestCenter Danmark (TCDK) was established to significantly increase test activity among the Danish population consisting of 5.86 million people and to support the governments testing strategy during the covid-19 crisis.During the pandemic, the total test capacity has on average been approx. 350,000 daily PCR and antigen test. The PCR-tests are furthermore performed by TestCenter Denmark on several regional test stations, whereas the tests are analyzed at the national test laboratory at SSI. The Danish testing strategy is continuously being adjusted to ensure that the test capacity corresponds to the demand in society. We are now working on enabling the citizens to perform self-tests. This requires a solution that enables the citizens to scan and submit their own test with a mobile device. For such a solution scanning software is required.
