The overall purpose of the assignment as Knowledge Partner to the Urban Living Lab on Sustainable and Smart Cities in India is to provide input to the strategic direction for the Urban Living Lab on Sustainable and Smart Cities in India in order for the Urban Living Lab to continuously stay relevant and updated and provide knowledge inputs on the overall Strategic and Policy directions on urbanization and cities in India. The Knowledge Partner may also bring in possible new modules to the Urban Living Lab.The objective of the assignment is for the Knowledge Partner to:1) contribute toward sustainable and liveable smart cities integrating global sustainable solutions.2) contribute toward the implementation of GOI’s Smart City Programme covering 100 Smart Cities.Scope of work• Participation in meetings in the Knowledge Partner Group with successive presentations of draft knowledge product(s). • Preparation for meetings in the Knowledge Partner Group and submission of summary inputs. • Exploring external funding sources for possible new modules under the Urban Living Lab to be presented to Project Coordination Committee.• Participation in minimum 2 activities (i.e. meetings, workshops, conferences) undertaken under the Urban Living Lab on Sustainable and Smart Cities in India.• Invite Urban Living Lab parties to conferences or seminars organised by the Knowledge Partner (if relevant)• Participate in other relevant meetings in India, such as meetings with the government or relevant organisations.Deliverables (output)• Minimum three knowledge partner products (such as reports or assessments based on pilots/workshops or similar activities) on sustainable and liveable smart cities integrating global sustainable solutions and on implementation of GOI’s Smart City Programme covering 100 Smart Cities within 1 year from contract signature.
The estimated budget above is a maximum budget and must cover both fees, project related expenses and reimbursable expenses. Tenders will be rejected if they exceed the contracting authority's maximum budget.
