Framwork Agreement concerning procurement of patent renewal service
DTU is currently responsible for a patent portfolio of about 245 patent families wherein about 140 patent families are in the national/regional phase. DTU’s patent portfolio is in 44 countries and regions, wherein the majority are in the US and in EP. The current tender is on a patent renewal service for the part of the DTUs patent portfolio of which DTU is responsible.
In 2018, DTU filed 48 priority applications, 33 PCT applications, and 21 patent families entered into national phase. As a rule of thumb DTU normally enters into the US and EP, if national phase is entered, and validates in DE, UK and FR. However, the choice of countries and regions depends on the commercial partners or potential commercial partners.
